The London Police Association members are very active within the City of London. Many of the members volunteer their time to help improve our community. Through voluntary payroll deductions our members collectively help many local charities, a few recent initiatives are listed below.
This year we proudly support the Make a Wish Foundation of Southwest Ontario. We are thrilled to be able to sponsor the wish of a fantastic young man who will be taking a vacation with his family.
Our members also generously moved to give up gifts for their children at our employees Christmas Party and instead donated $8000 worth of toys to the Salvation Army.
Uniformed and plain clothes male officers donned bright red stilettos to 'walk a mile in her shoes' and raise money and awareness for Womens Community House.
Not to be outdone our female members creatively decorated bras to 'party with a purpose' at Braz for the Cause raising funds for the Massel-Cruickshank front line fund for women undergoing breast cancer treatments. Their 'It's a Bust' team won the Battle of the Braz!
Our uniquely outfitted road hockey team strutted their stuff in the EASTER SEALS POWER PLAY at Covent Garden Market, Sept 18th and were victorious.
Members spent a long but incredibly rewarding day with a group of fantastic kids on October 29th for the Sunshine Foundation Dreamlift to Disney
